Leadership Team

As Chief Executive Officer, John manages Acumatica’s operations and leads a Community of employees, developers, partners, and customers in fulfilling the company’s Rallying Cry: Building the future of business, together. John was selected as CEO by the Acumatica Board of Directors and joined the company in February 2022. During his tenure and under his leadership, Acumatica has experienced accelerated growth with an expanding customer base, a growing partner ecosystem, and the continued evolution of its cloud ERP solution with capabilities and features specifically designed to address the real-world needs of today’s small and midsized businesses.

Prior to taking the helm at Acumatica, John served as president and CEO of Unify Square, a leading provider of operations and performance management software and cloud-managed services. He also spent 16 years at Microsoft in various executive-level positions, including Corporate Vice President of Office and Office 365, where he spearheaded the digital transformation of Microsoft’s most successful cloud business. As Vice President of Microsoft’s worldwide OEM division in marketing and sales, he jointly oversaw the company’s global distribution and reseller channels.

John graduated from Williams College with a degree in economics and mathematics and also has an MBA from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth. He lives in Bellevue with his wife and two sons. Follow John on LinkedIn and Twitter/X.

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Wayne is responsible for all aspects of Acumatica’s finance, accounting, business intelligence, and legal operations. Since joining the company in April 2023, Wayne has improved and modernized Acumatica’s financial and reporting processes. He brings a wealth of experience in finance and accounting to the role and a proven track record of helping software companies scale and operate.

Prior to Acumatica, Wayne was the CFO of SymphonyAI and served as the Senior Vice President of Finance and the Chief Accounting Officer of Malwarebytes. Wayne also held senior leadership positions at several other technology companies, including Cloudera (VP of Finance), Guidewire Software (VP Finance & Corporate Controller), and Ariba, Inc (VP Corporate Finance).

A native of New Zealand, Wayne holds a bachelor’s degree in management studies from the University of Waikato.

As Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Mike oversees Acumatica’s technical development, leading a global team of over 300 people distributed across Canada, the United States, Serbia, and Sri Lanka—providing the technical innovations that support the company’s product roadmap. Under Mike’s leadership, the Acumatica engineering team prioritizes practical innovations that address users’ real-world needs and ensure their long-term success.

Mike has over 25 years of experience in software project management and ERP design and implementation. He served as Director of Engineering for Parallels, the leading provider of desktop virtualization, OS containers, and control panel software. Prior to joining Parallels, Mike was the CTO of SWsoft’s consulting division, responsible for the implementation of custom ERP solutions. As a Co-Founder of Acumatica, Mike was part of a team of only ten people at the company’s inception. At the time, he took on many roles, including product manager, designer, and customer support agent. As the company grew, he focused his efforts on product development and technology vision.

As Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), Sanket leads worldwide sales, business development, customer success, technical enablement, and business relationships for Acumatica. He is deeply invested in ensuring the success of Acumatica’s partners and resellers while simultaneously growing the company’s bottom line and increasing customer satisfaction and retention.

Sanket is a GTM leader with more than 20 years of experience in the software industry. He began his career at McKinsey & Co. and has held leadership positions at Nauto—where he led global sales, marketing, and services functions—and at Microsoft—where he spent 14 years in multiple senior roles (VP Global Enterprise, Chief Evangelist of the United States, and Managing Director of Microsoft India).

Sanket graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering, and he received an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He lives in Bellevue, Washington, with his wife and two daughters.

As Chief People Officer, Martha-Lucia oversees Acumatica’s employee experience and has transformed the company’s people processes and infrastructure to attract, retain, and develop top talent by building a people strategy that grows with the company.

Throughout her career, she has been responsible for change and talent management and for streamlining Human Resource (HR) functions to focus on employee advocacy. During her 18 years at Microsoft, she helped HR teams evolve to meet local and global complexities and partnered with senior leaders to shape and transform business and HR functions, activities, and teams. Martha-Lucia is a champion of career development coaching—empowering individuals and creating opportunities for learning and growth. She focuses on helping others navigate career transitions, fulfill their goals, and break down barriers.

Martha-Lucia resides in Redmond, Washington, with her husband and 2 sons. She is a graduate of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Colombia with a BA in Psychology.

As Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Todd drives demand generation and brand awareness through the leadership of Acumatica’s overall marketing strategy and execution. He also serves as the Chief Sustainability Officer (CSO) managing the company’s efforts across ESG through the AcumatiCares program. Todd is a proven senior marketing leader with over 20 years of experience, and, at Acumatica, has continued his focus on leading innovative and global digital technology and operations transformation across marketing and its connection to sales—driving step-function improvements in customer experience and business success.

Prior to Acumatica, Todd was with Deloitte Digital where he led a commercial marketing, sales, and partner digital transformation practice and a customer data platform go-to-market strategy. As VP/General Manager at Microsoft, Todd led the digital transformation of commercial marketing and sales capabilities for the entire cloud product portfolio, built a high-scale global services and operations business, and led global privacy across marketing and sales.

Todd holds a BA in Economics from Connecticut College and an MBA from the U.C. Berkeley Haas School of Business.

As Chief Product Officer, Ali is responsible for Acumatica’s technical strategy and product roadmap, development, and direction. Ali joined Acumatica in 2010 and has been instrumental in developing many aspects of the company’s business strategy, product evolution and ecosystem growth.

He has over 30 years of experience in the software industry and a proven track record as a high-tech entrepreneur with multiple successful start-ups. In 2001, Ali founded Everest Software and pioneered the first all-in-one ERP solution for multi-channel small and midsized businesses. As VP of Product Management, he oversaw Everest’s products and business direction until the company was sold to Versata Software in 2009. Before Everest, Ali also founded Accel Inc., a white-box PC manufacturer, and iCode Inc, an ERP software company. The ERP solutions Ali built at iCode gave Accel a scalable solution that enabled rapid growth, and Accel was sold for $35 million in 1994.

Ali is a graduate of Virginia Tech University with a BS in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering.

As Chief Engineering Officer, Miten leads Acumatica’s engineering teams in architecting, developing, deploying, and supporting the company’s industry-leading ERP products and building a high-performance, customer-oriented culture.  In this leadership position, Miten will apply his expertise from various domains, including CRM, field services, social networking, communication, mobile platforms, online games, eCommerce, lifestyle, wellness, and entertainment.

Miten brings a solid background in internet-scale cloud services, extensible platforms, distributed systems and client applications to the role of Chief Engineering Officer. Prior to joining Acumatica, he served as SVP of Engineering at Salesforce, leading the engineering team for the company’s cloud-based Field Service Management software. He also led many engineering organizations at Microsoft over his 18-year career. Beyond his deep engineering experience, Miten is an entrepreneur and a co-founder of LifeOn24 Inc., which helps people achieve goals and change habits by leveraging behavioral and social sciences through cloud services and the “Start Change” mobile app.

Miten lives in Kirkland, WA, with his wife and two sons. He loves to hike the beautiful Northwest, volunteer in his local communities, read anything and everything, and binge watch movies and TV shows with his family.

Jeff joined Acumatica in September of 2023 as the company’s Chief Information Officer (CIO). In this role, Jeff is responsible for optimizing the company’s strategic technology initiatives and supporting its commitment to providing innovative tools to its Community of partners, customers, and creators.

Jeff has over 20 years of experience leading technology teams in implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency, streamline processes, and deliver world-class value to customers. As a small business owner himself, Jeff is uniquely positioned to support Acumatica’s customers by providing business management solutions that enable midmarket organizations to take complete control of their businesses. Prior to joining Acumatica, Jeff was Chief Technology Officer at Prime Trust, and he previously held leadership roles in IT operations and business services for several companies, including RingCentral, DocuSign, McAfee, Salesforce.com, PayPal, and eBay.

Jeff graduated from Boise State University with a BBA in Computer Information Systems. Jeff spends his free time drumming in a band or officiating basketball and football games.

As SVP, Americas, Sean is responsible for guiding his team to manage Acumatica’s partner relationships. This involves helping partners manage their own relationships with customers and prospects, work with the right prospects, and complete successful Acumatica implementations. Sean joined Acumatica in 2012 when the company was virtually a startup, and he has since been deeply involved with Acumatica’s Partner Channel and the partner recruitment and enablement processes—building, maintaining, and managing long-term relationships.

Sean has over 25 years of experience in the business technology applications space, primarily in the ERP market for small to midsized businesses. Prior to Acumatica, Sean was the Director of Business Development at Altum, a consulting firm working with the federal government and nonprofits. Sean was also National Account Manager at Sage North America and spent almost a decade at midmarket ERP product developer Everest Software, where he held multiple roles, including Lead Sales Consultant and Director of the New Business Sales Team for North America.

As VP of Partner Programs and Strategy, CJ manages Acumatica’s entire partner program—from new partner acquisition, through partner enablement, to the strategic enumeration of the company’s growth strategies. Since joining the company in 2022, CJ has been focused on developing programs and initiatives to evolve Acumatica’s industry-best partner ecosystem of Value-Added Resellers.

Prior to joining Acumatica, CJ spent decades working with technology companies in a variety of stages of growth. Having been through capital events more than a dozen times, his experience in constructing robust and resilient ecosystems that are geared to grow is extensive. CJ is multilingual and significantly skilled in building lines of business, products, and system architectures alongside partner ecosystems that play to their collective strength. His broad vertical industry experience has established a proven track record of innovation, value realization, and digital transformation.

CJ earned his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his MBA from the London Business School.

As SVP of Client Services, Dimitri is responsible for communicating and reinforcing the vision and direction for Acumatica Cloud ERP. He focuses on solidifying programs that fulfill the needs of Acumatica’s wide array of customers and partners.

Dimitri has 20 years of extensive experience in the cloud, managing successful cloud programs for very large enterprise customers. He spent 12 of those years running enterprise cloud services at Unify Square—a leading provider of operations and performance management software and cloud-managed services. Prior to his time at Unify Square, Dimitri ran cloud infrastructure practices for various European companies in his native Belgium and neighboring countries, including Germany and France.

Dimitri has a technical background and is multilingual. His largely self-taught pragmatic approach to leadership prioritizes practical outcomes and achieves sustainable growth. Dimitri lives with his wife and teenage daughter in the Seattle area, cherishes his collections of bicycles and vinyl records, and often delves into DIY projects.

As Chief of Staff and Head of Corporate Development, Jed supports Acumatica’s organic and inorganic growth initiatives, helps draft the company’s annual strategy, and works with the Board of Directors to continue the company’s industry-leading success in Cloud ERP.

Jed served as the Head of Corporate Development for R3, the leader in enterprise blockchain, prior to joining Acumatica in January 2024. R3’s clients include many top global financial infrastructure providers including Nasdaq, the DTCC, the Central Bank of the UAE, and Euroclear. While at R3, Jed established and directed the organization’s Development Fund, leading its venture investments and serving on several portfolio company boards. He previously was an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group at Goldman Sachs.

Jed holds a dual MBA/MA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and the School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) at Johns Hopkins University, as well as a BA in International Relations, Phi Beta Kappa, from the College of William and Mary. In his spare time, Jed enjoys live music, backcountry camping with his wife and dog, and adventure traveling.

Robert joined EQT Partners in April 2018 and is based in London where he is focused on growth and buy-out investments in the software, fintech, payments, and data information services sectors. He was previously a Principal at Francisco Partners and has also held positions at Englefield Capital and Goldman Sachs. Robert also serves on the board of directors of RIMES Technologies (since March 2020) and has previously served on the board of directors of Click Software and Blujay. He holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford.

Jonas is a high-profile director and advisor in the software development industry. He serves as chairman of the board at IFS, SUSE, Peltarion, and Sitecore. Jonas is also industrial advisor at EQT Partners and is a board member at Skandia and Automic Software. He previously held various senior leadership positions within Microsoft, including CEO of Microsoft Sweden. Jonas began his career working as a sales leader for consumer mobility solutions and vertical industry solutions in Europe.

Tyler Parker is a Managing Director on EQT’s Private Equity Technology Team, based in the San Francisco office. He joined EQT Partners in May 2022. Prior to joining EQT Partners, Tyler worked at Carlyle, where he was a part of the technology investing team.

Tyler received an MBA with honors from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Palmer Scholar, and a BS in management science and engineering from Stanford University.

John brings nearly three decades of industry leadership in cloud services, software product management, marketing, partner sales, digital promotion, and brand development to his role as CEO of Acumatica. Before joining Acumatica, John served as president and CEO of Unify Square, a leading provider of operations and performance management software and cloud-managed services. He also spent 16 years at Microsoft in a variety of executive-level positions, including corporate vice president of Office and Office 365, where he spurred the digital transformation of Microsoft’s most successful cloud business; and vice president of the worldwide OEM division in marketing and sales, where he jointly oversaw the global distribution and reseller channels for Microsoft.

Kathy served as EVP and CFO at Kony, Inc., a privately held mobile applications solutions provider. She previously served as EVP, COO and CFO of Epicor Software Corporation, a privately held software company. She joined Epicor as the EVP and CFO in 2011 when the company merged with Activant Solutions Inc. Prior to Activant, Kathy held financial roles at Polycom, Inc., Documentum, Inc., Adaptec, Inc. and Price Waterhouse LLP. Kathy is a board advisor for Corel and serves on the board of directors for Poly, Code 42 and Calix, Inc.

Kathy holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting from California State University, Chico.

Nancy served as EVP and Managing Director of Sage North America from 2016 to 2021 when she retired. She also served as Managing Director of Sage Canada during her 10-year tenure with the publicly traded ERP software provider. Nancy brings more than 36 years of experience in the software industry to the Board, having served in various executive leadership capacities in both privately held and publicly traded companies. Nancy serves on the Board of Directors for Intapp and is a member of the audit, comp and risk committees. Nancy also serves on the Board of Directors for M-Files and is the comp committee chairperson. She is actively involved in the Austin community and serves on the board of Any Baby Can, a local non-profit organization. Nancy received her bachelor’s and master’s degree with an emphasis in marketing from Northwestern University.

Zach Nelson has deep and extensive leadership experience in the high-tech industry having served in a variety of executive positions including President and CEO at NetSuite, taking the helm in 2002 and leading the business management software company through its acquisition by Oracle in 2016.  His career spanning over 35 years includes marketing, sales, product development and business strategy positions with Cunningham Communication, Oracle, Sun Microsystems, and McAfee/Network Associates.  He is an active venture capitalist and has served on the Board of Directors for several companies including PagerDuty, an incident management platform company and Freshworks Inc., and business software vendor.   Zach holds a B.S. in biological sciences and an M.A. in anthropology from Stanford University.
